Graphic Design for Retail Food Franchises
Smart businesses know that change is good. The projects below showcase examples of how Visual Unity helped evolve the look, feel and communication of 2 great businesses. Visual Unity helped develop new environmental and brand design for Nandos Australia and Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses. The projects include refreshed visual assets, retail environment design, menu design, packaging, sticker and uniform design.
Visual Unity collaborated with Nandos Australia’s architects, retail store designers, shoplifters and signage manufacturers to develop unique environments which personified the spirit of the Nando’s brand. Each store created had unique interpretations of the core Nando’s stories. Overall we were responsible for creating bespoke interpretations of the Nandos stories in over 200 stores using techniques such: as mixed media, found elements, three dimensional sculptures and hand painted typography and illustrations. The unique graphic systems were also expanded upon and applied successfully to Nando’s pop-up festival containers and food trucks.
Ferguson Plarre bakehouse is a family owned and operated business with over one hundred years of baking history in Australia. Ferguson Plarre approached Visual Unity for a fresh take on their stores. After a close collaboration with the Plarre’s, we developed a new communication system and a set of brand visuals that sat nicely alongside the existing cornerstone graphic elements they already had, such as the famous Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse stripe. The brand refresh included: existing graphic assets, development and design of new visual assets, retail environment design, menu design, packaging design, sticker design and uniform design.
