Graphic Design for Shops and Retail Stores
The following projects showcase examples of graphic design for a Melbourne and National based shoe retailer: Beggar Man Thief and Famous Footwear.
Beggar Man Thief launched with a store in South Melbourne at a time when nobody was selling decent, stylish shoes that were meant to be worn as part of your everyday wardrobe. The idea of having a “good pair of shoes” that came out at weddings and funerals seemed a bit ridiculous. Beggar Man Thief engaged Visual Unity to develop an identity system that personified the spirit of the founders. The brand was further rolled out into the sub brand “The Canny Man” which was home to limited editions, exclusives and end of line products. As suppliers of world premier footwear, the Beggar Man Thief brand were approached to be part of L’Oreal Fashion Week Cultural Program and were also invited to create a store in store at Melbourne’s iconic Henry Bucks.
The scope of the product included: Identity design, store layout, marketing collateral including: banner design, poster design, flyer design and email marketing design.
Famous Footwear believe that fashionable shoes should look great, fit perfectly and be affordable for all women. Visual Unity were engaged to create an approachable brand that every day Australian women could connect with. The brand needed to position itself as being real, on trend and affordable allowing women to indulge and buy shoes for every occasion. The scope of the project included: Logo Design, Photography, Posters and Packaging.
