Puckles Bakehouse
+ Modern bakery concept
+ Scalable franchise model
+ Digital & sustainable systems
Puckles Family Bakehouse modernised the Australian bakehouse by combining heritage, heart, and high-tech systems. Inspired by the Plarre family’s original 1911 bakery in Melbourne, the Springfield location was designed as a warm, family-focused destination — perfect for meetups, parties, and takeaway comfort food made from longstanding family recipes.

Reimagining the Classic Bakery for a New Era
Designed to Scale, Styled to Delight
From the beginning, Puckles was built with growth in mind. The brand needed flexibility across store types — from inline tenancies to future kiosks — without losing its handcrafted, nostalgic charm. A modular visual system and signage suite was developed to evolve with the brand as new locations were added.
Seamless Integration of Digital & Physical Touchpoints
Puckles was one of the first food retail models to embed digital innovation at every customer interaction point. From YouTube campaigns to an integrated online shop, rewards platform, advanced POS and augmented reality — every element was designed to elevate the experience and support backend efficiency.

A Sustainable Approach from Fitout to Fulfilment
The fit-out features recycled timber, low-energy lighting, and environmentally responsible material choices. Back-of-house systems, including online ordering and bake as required inventory, were structured to minimise waste — a key goal for both the brand and its customers.
From Concept to Rollout
Leveraging our network of specialist suppliers helped deliver the highly customised finishes, materials, and signage required to bring the Puckles brand to life. As the model evolved, we continued to support its transition into a scalable, adaptable format designed for growth.

The Result
A modern bakery brand rooted in tradition, built to grow — combining unique and sustainable brand design elements with operational and digital systems ready for franchise expansion.
